Essence of rabbit

More from Dawkins’ The Greatest Show on Earth: As we trace the ancestry of modern Homo sapiens backwards, there must come a time when the difference from living people is sufficiently great to deserve a different specific name, say Homo ergaster. Yet, every step of the way, individuals were presumably sufficiently similar to their parents […]

A timely reminder

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

In a recent email exchange, a correspondent asked me “whats your opinion on astrology?”, to which I replied, “superstitious nonsense”. A further question of “so, what do you think of astral projection or such? Is it all your mind playing tricks on you?” elicited a response which seems to have hit home. So, for all […]

Don’t do it, kids

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Over on Jim Eshelman’s Temple of Thelema forums, there’s a thread called True Will and physical obstacles. He makes every effort to live his True Will and the path that […]

What’s so great about the Great Work?

Do the hebrew letters play any part in Tarot readings? Ok for example the Chariot is assigned Cheth/Fence well we know that a fence can keep people/things […]

Scientifically testing the supernatural

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

There’s an interesting thread going on over at LAShTAL.com right now about “praeternatural intelligences” and supernatural claims in general. “Gurugeorge” suggested that the time may be coming soon where “science” may be able to “definitively decide about the Magickal theory” either way: The Magickal theory of the Universe is a bold punt. If it’s true, […]

Calculus and the Wheel of the Year

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

Just a random but vaguely interesting point that occurred to me whilst writing this post. We can imagine the amount of light at various times throughout the year as the function of a sine wave. From the vernal equinox to the autumnal equinox, the days are lighter than the nights, and so this portion of […]

M.H. Benders wrote: I’ve read a good deal of the essay [The Small Cards of the Tarot – EH] last night. It’s pretty good, exact and precise. There is one thing that suddenly caught my attention and which I have been pondering over. Why is it that the fire & water trumps From your comments […]

I have added a new tool to the resources section enabling the display of some selected principal Qabalistic correspondences from Liber 777. Up to three correspondence columns can be selected for simultaneous display, allowing for quick access to the desired information and for comparison between columns which may be on different pages in the book.
